Mass Spectrometry

This laboratory provides accurate assays drugs used in management of patients undergoing stem cell transplantation. Assays for the currently following drugs are performed.

Cyclosporine
Busulfan
Cyclophosphamide
Imatinib Mesylate (to start soon)

We have been offering regular monitoring of whole blood cyclosporine level for patients admitted under Department of Haematology since 1994. Soon, we are planning to offer therapeutic drug monitoring for busulfan, as well as Imatinib with faster turnaround time using LC-MS/MS.
