This course was started in 2008. The aim of this course is to train life science graduates in basic molecular biology techniques. The main thrust will be on hands-on experience of basic techniques like nucleic acid isolation, polymerase chain reaction and mutation detection methods. The students will also be trained in other molecular biology procedures. Quality aspects of laboratory procedures will be given due importance. After successfully completing the course, these individuals will be able to independently perform these techniques in research or service laboratories.
